“Gone Fishing” was a piece I created for the Disney’s James and the Giant Peach Daydream Contest. The goal was to portray an imaginative daydream landscape where you go to escape reality.
It’s a bit different than my usual genre and style but I wanted something bright, kid-friendly and fun. The concept itself was inspired by my 7 year old son who has a vivid imagination and loves adventure.
If I had the opportunity to escape the real world, I’d be his age again, carefree and young. How great would it be to take off on your dog’s back and go fishing – for giant-sized goldfish swimming through the sky.
